Car Title Loans in Arlington saved my life!

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

I had the weirdest thing happen to me.  Over the past three months I lost 50 pounds for no reason.  I have been eating my steady diet of fast foods.  Usually twice a day and then a small snack before I go to bed, but I kept losing weight.  I started to get scared because I have been horribly obese most of my life and now I was actually starting to look healthy and attractive.  I didn’t know what to do with people’s new found attention with me.  So anyways, I went to the doctors office and he said I had a tape worm and it needed to be removed.  I was shocked!  Not only do I not want a tape worm, but how was I going to pay to get rid of it and do I really want to lose the one thing that has made me lose so much weight.  Well the doctor said it had to be removed for a variety of health concerns, so  I have to find some money to remove this silly tape worm.

Since this idea, I have been strapped for cash, but my friend says I can get a car title loans in Arlington and applications take two minutes to fill out.  No personal info is needed and why spend all day in a bank when you can go get an car title loan and have money right away.  Thanks to car title loans in Arlington (also called auto title loans) - I now have more room to breathe!  Hey its better than borrowing from friends or family.

Car Title Loans in Arlington makes holiday turkey possible

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

OK, so here’s my sad tale of woe: my gas got cut off and my old microwave is dead.  Makes it kinda hard to cook a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.  But here’s where I’m a creative problem solver: I recently discovered that your a car is good for collateral on a loan.

2008 started out badly.  I lost my job in March and was unemployed until last month.  During those months without work the bills piled up, went unpaid and I got bad credit.  Then then a brake shoe replacement on my car set me back another $400, which I had to borrow from a friend in Falls Church.

I hit a low point when my gas was shut off in September. They asked for a $240 security deposit to get it restored.  That simply wasn’t possible.  So with no money, I went shopping. I found a combo microwave/convection oven at the WalMart on New York Avenue in DC for about $200. This solved two problems – no gas and no working microwave – because it’s possible to cook most foods in them.  You can even roast (more or less) a turkey in one.

But I couldn’t figure out where I’d get the $200 for the new microwave in time for the holidays.  I went on Yahoo and searched for “Christmas loans” and “fast cash” when I stumbled on Car Title Loans in Arlington. They said my Buick (paid off about 14 months ago) could get me a loan for the $200 plus the $400 I owe my friend.  The online application was easier than applying for a library card. It took about ten minutes to complete. The $600 was in my checking account in 24 hours and I bought the oven the next afternoon. The first night I made a delicious canned salmon-garbanzo torte that I invented – healthier and cheaper than the Taco Bell burritos I had been eating.

Loans on car title work when you think you have no options (and probably don’t).  Now I can have friends over for holiday meals.  Despite everything this year, I feel like it’s going to be a merry Christmas.

Holidays travel with Car Title Loans in Arlington

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Christmas and Thanksgiving have always been difficult for me.  I moved from Bakersfield, California to the DC area many years ago, and the few times I’ve gone home for the holidays it’s been a real chore.  But my father is getting up in years now and had a health scare this year.  So I almost feel I don’t have a choice. This is a year to make that trip.

But when I went online to look at airfares, I just about canned that idea. Fares are coming in at $500 and more, depending on which day I travel. In order to make this trip, I’d have to sell my car.  I need it for work.  I couldn’t do that.

But that got me thinking.  I went online after passing an auto title loan company on Mount Vernon Avenue here in Arlington, and found out my six year old Malibu qualified for a loan of about $600. I have bad credit, but that didn’t matter. I went with Car Title Loans in Arlington, because their online application is very simple and I was able to get fast cash — by the next day, as a matter of fact.

I bought that ticket with my debit card ASAP.  The airfares went up $50 three days after I bought that flight.

Car Title Loans in Arlington helped me lose weight

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Sitting in traffic all the time on my commute to work had led to me gaining 25 pounds in the past six years (I tend to eat when I drive, too).

But with the sky-high costs of gas this year, I studied bike routes in Arlington and found some ways to get to my job in Eden Center from where I live near American University Park in DC.

I was initially shocked with the bike prices: the models I liked best were more than $800 to $2000. But this came at a time when I didn’t have spare cash and I had bad credit, and no credit cards, plus I was supposed to be catching up on my tuition loan repayments.

I needed fast cash.  I figured with this investment, I would reduce my car gas costs.  When I went on the Internet I searched for “bike money” and “auto pawn” and “car title loans.”  That’s how I found Car Title Loans in Arlington.  I filled out the online application, where I discovered even my Nissan Maxima was worth at least a $1500 loan.  By the next days I bought a bike and was out biking the day after that. Now, six months later, I am 22 pounds light and I’ve saved more than $450 in gas costs.

Car title loans no credit check made it possible.  And I now have the butt muscles to prove it.

Car Title Loans in Arlington heat my water (efficiently)

Monday, October 27th, 2008

My house is about 25 years old, which is kind of like having an eight year old car.  Things start to go.  This is not a good time to be out of a job (for a year), with bills piling up and my credit bad enough to ding me out of the home equity market.

But I found a way to handle one problem, at least.  My old water heater is going to konk out completely at any minute. Everyone’s talking about the tankless, on-demand water heaters. They use a third less energy and reduce water consumption, so it’s a savings over the long haul.

And right now, a savings in the upfront as well.  A store in Chantilly has tankless models at a 15-20% discount off the full price.  They run $800-$1400, depending on capacity, plus delivery and installation for another $250 or so.  Here’s the best part: buy one in 2009 to qualify for a $300 credit on your federal taxes (new next year). This store takes your order now with a $400 down payment to secure the discount, then you pay the balance on delivery in January.

In other words, if I had the money now to buy something I will have to buy anyway, very soon, I’ll save about $500 upfront.  All I had to do was find $400 now, and another $300 or $400 later. But I didn’t even have that to spare. So I searched online for “fast cash” and “money emergency,” and found Car Title Loans in Arlington to get the $800 I needed, using my car (a 2000 Taurus) for collateral. Fortunately, bad credit didn’t matter. I completed the online application and got instant approval (because there are no credit checks). The cash arrived by wire in one day.  I liked how the online approach avoids the title loans store on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Loans against car title work when you need fast cash.  Something tells me these will become pretty popular in the economic meltdown.

Trip to Chicago from Car Title Loans in Arlington

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Sometimes the Lord tests us.  I was out of a job, had bad credit, bills were piling up.  Then my sister was in an accident, hospitalized in Chicago and no one to take care of her daughter.  We have no family there to help out.

I knew my old car couldn’t go all that way. But airlines were quoting me over $400 for last minute bookings. With bad credit I couldn’t just charge the fare on a credit card.

So I just searched on the Internet for Fast Cash. Car Title Loans in Arlington, Virgina turned up.  But these weren’t the stores you see in Alexandria.  It’s all online. The company said my car was good for up to a $1000 loan.

I needed about $500 for the flight and incidentals.  The Internet application was simple, and was approved in five minutes.  My cash was sent by wire to my bank account. In 48 hours I was in Chicago taking care of my sister and her daughter.

Family takes care of their own.  And car title loans work for family when necessary.

A better life thanks to Car Title Loans in Arlington

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

The gyrations in this economy are having an effect on us.  I never knew that my car would save how well I could eat, but here’s my story.

We hit a low point in July when we were basically broke, barely making enough money to subsist, with bad credit and a refrigerator that just up and died in the Arlington condo we bought in 2006.  To replace it would cost $900. Both my wife and I were too embarrassed to ask for help from friends or family.

So I Googled to see what I might find used.  In about a minute I found a demolition project in McClean, where they had a model we had looked at earlier this year, priced at $1100.  With a demolition, you bargain with the developer and haul it away yourself. I figured I’d shoot for $300 to $500.

You can’t say I don’t have cajones.  But that still doesn’t create cash.

So back to the Internet, that fount of all things necessary.  I learned I could get a loan through Car Title Loans in Arlington. They offered me $4000 in a title loan on my VW Passat, but all I needed was the $500, plus another $100 for a truck rental.   From there it was easy: I completed the online application and the money came by electronic funds transfer to my checking account in 24 hours.  I rented the truck, started dickering at $300 and settled at $400.  Sweet.

My wife made fun of me, but using an auto title loan store for house improvements is generally a good investment.  This one saves us more on food and electricity costs.  Now, if only we could fix Wall Street.
